This post I'll be spotlighting two great DVDs! BEER COMMERCIAL MANIA and CAR COMMERCIAL MANIA!

BEER COMMERCIAL MANIA is a great look back at time when brands like BLATZ, RHINGOLD, HAMM'S,CARLING'S BLACK LABEL and STAG shared shelf space with national brands like BUDWEISER and MILLER.

This compilation features over 60 great commercials including Ballantine , Black Horse, Blatz, Budweiser, Burgenmeister, Busch , Busch Bavarian, Carling’s Black Label , Colt.45, Country Club, Duquesne, Falstaff , Fitzgerald, Genesee, Goebel, Günter, Hamm’s , Jax , Miller, Mitchell, Old Milwaukee, Pabst Blue Ribbon , Piel’s Real Draft, Rheingold, Schaefer, Schlitz, Schmidt’s, Simon Pure, Stag , Stroh’s , Utica Club, and more! - All presented uncut in their original format.

Beer Drinkers and non-Beer drinkers alike will find this wide range of commercials from the 1950's-1970's interesting as they take us back to a simpler time when when people didn't worry about how many calories in a bottle,but the taste. When you needed a bottle opener to open your beer!

Two interesting segments of note in this compilation - first a selection of STAG beer commercials featuring the nearsighted cartoon character, MR. MAGOO who can clearly see that STAG is the right choice! The second is a group of JAX commercials - which was marketed to Black audiences in "colored" theaters in the late 1940's through the 1950's. On a related note, the COLT .45 commercial in this compilation from the early 1970's features Redd Foxx and Billy Van (From "The Sonny and Cher Show")

All in All, a fun hour-long commercial retrospective.
